When was the last time…
When was the last time you checked your Facebook page? When was the last time you read your Twitter feed? Do you know how many people have checked into your location on Foursquare? What is your obligation when someone posts on your businesses Facebook wall?
Sure, these are all rhetorical questions but I wouldn’t be asking if they weren’t valid concerns with many of the business social media accounts that are out there. As a person, I do want to share my opinion on a Facebook business page and I don’t want to think that no one is ever there to read it. As a person, I do want to compliment a restaurant on Twitter and I do want to get excited when I read a simple “Thanks” back in return. When I check in on Foursquare I don’t need to be rewarded but I do want to know that the business saw that I was there. I understand that all of this takes time throughout the day, obviously I know this
but it needs to be done if you are going to be successful with your accounts. Ok, sure this is only my personal opinion but being just an average guy that does average things, I think I do speak for many of the people out there.
Social media is easy stuff if you remember that you also need to be social in return to make it work.
And like I have said before, if you don’t have time to do it right, you can always have us do it for you.
